The Le Bons Bay Cemetery Order 1966

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of July 1966

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Le Bons Bay Cemetery Order 1966.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1966.
  2. The Akaroa County Council is hereby appointed to have the control and management of the Le Bons Bay Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, as from the 31st day of July 1966.
  3. The Order in Council dated the 6th day of January 1894* delegating to the Akaroa County Council the powers of appointing and removing trustees of a number of cemeteries is hereby amended by revoking so much of the Schedule as relates to the Le Bons Bay Cemetery.

LE BONS BAY CEMETERY

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing 6 acres 1 rood 11 perches, more or less, being Reserve 800, situated in Block VI, Okains Survey District.

    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1966.

The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1966

PURSUANT to the Electoral Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R

  1. This order may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1966.
  2. The date for the closing of the main roll in every European and Maori electoral district for the year 1966 under section 61 of the Electoral Act 1956, shall be Wednesday, the 27th day of July 1966.

PURSUANT to section 39A of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint:

Joseph Walter Pountney Watts, Esquire, of Wellington, being a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand;

Rex Ryerson Beaumont, Esquire, of Lower Hutt, being a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand;

Leslie Porter Blunt, Esquire, of Kaikoura, being a person nominated by the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Counties Association Incorporated; and

Ewart Somers, Esquire, of Christchurch, being a person nominated by the Executive Committee of the Municipal Association of New Zealand Incorporated;

to be members of the Special Town and Country Planning Appeal Board for a period commencing on the 8th day of August 1966 and terminating on the 7th day of August 1967 and I hereby appoint Joseph Walter Pountney Watts the Deputy Chairman of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, to be chairman of the Special Town and Country Planning Appeal Board and the said Rex Ryerson Beaumont to be Deputy Chairman of the Special Town and Country Planning Appeal Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 5th day of July 1966.

Extension of Appointment and Promotion

The appointment of Acting Air Commodore Arthur Percy Gainsford, D.S.O., O.B.E., D.F.C., A.F.C. (70039) is extended for a further period, with effect from 15 June 1966. He is promoted to Air Commodore, with effect from 1 July 1966, with seniority from 4 January 1966.

Appointment and Promotion

Flight Lieutenant John Stewart Boys, A.F.C. (784905) is appointed to the acting rank of Squadron Leader, with effect from 26 May 1966, and promoted to Squadron Leader, with effect from 30 May 1966.

Appointment to Career Commission

Flying Officer Rodger Frederick Barson (80014) is appointed to a career commission for a period to expire on 15 December 1980.

Extension of Retiring Age

Air Commodore Percival Patrick O’Brien, O.B.E., B.COM., J.S.S.C. (70044) is granted an extension of his age for retirement until 31 December 1966.

Extension of Commission

Flight Lieutenant Ian William Collins (77855) is granted an extension of his commission until 31 December 1975, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers.

Wing Commander John Pearce Horsley, M.B.E. (70209) is granted an extension of his age for retirement until 31 December 1968.
