Surrender of Coal Mining Rights—Nelson Land District

Pursuant to the provisions of the Coal Mines Act 1925,
the Minister of Mines hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

The coal mining leases and wayleave granted under the pro-
visions of Part I of the Coal Mines Act 1925 described in
the Schedule hereto, are hereby surrendered.

SCHEDULE

(a) Deed of coal mining lease registered in the office of
the Mining Registrar at Reefton, on 30 January 1945, as
9251;
(b) Deed of coal mining lease registered in the office of
the Mining Registrar at Reefton, on 13 September 1948, as
9477;
(c) Wayleave registered in the office of the Mining Registrar
at Reefton, on 4 April 1944, as 9180.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Malvern County Council
and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chair-
man, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Malvern
and revokes the reservation for gravel pit over the land
described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration That a Reserve Form Part of the Pungarehu
Domain

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described
in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the
provisions of Part III of the said Act, to form part of the
Pungarehu Domain to be administered as a public domain
by the domain board.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying That
the Land Shall Vest in the Westland County Council in
Fee Simple and How the Value Thereof shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto, and further, declares that the said land shall vest
in the Westland County Council in fee simple provided
that a sum equal to the current market value of the said
land is paid by the Westland County Council into its
reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in
or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves
under the control of the Council or in or towards the
purchase of other land for recreation purposes.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying
The Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall
be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for
plantation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be
disposed of by the Porirua City Council, at current market
value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the
Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and
applied in or towards the improvement of other public
reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards
the purchase of other land for public reserves.
