Southland County Council

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment
Act 1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims as closed
the road described in the Schedule hereto, and declares that
the road first described in the said Schedule hereto shall
vest in George Francis Johnston, of Awarua Plains, waterside
worker, subject to memorandum of mortgage No. 197431,
Southland Land Registry; and that the road secondly described in the said Schedule hereto shall vest in Alexander
Frederick Chisholm, of Tisbury, farmer, subject to memorandum of mortgage No. 196790, Southland Land Registry.

Declaring Land Held for a Government Work and Not
Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, and Revoking
Previous Notice

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works hereby revokes the notice dated the 20th day of
October 1965, and published in Gazette, No. 64, page 1891,
declaring Lots 32 to 42 (inclusive) to be Crown land subject
to the Land Act 1948, and hereby declares the land described
in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land
subject to the said Land Act 1948 as from the 22nd day of
January 1963.
