Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Road Excluded from Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Dunedin City:

The Dunedin-Harrington Point road (from a point 14 chains measured northerly generally along the said road from its junction with Doon Street to the north-eastern boundary of Dunedin City).

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, the Minister of Labour hereby notifies that the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Inc.) Southland Branch is an organisation approved for the purpose of that Act.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Tangimoana Progressive Society Incorporated and Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Tangimoana Progressive Society Incorporated and revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for a public hall site described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Rangiora County Council and revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Gisborne City Council on the 15th day of March 1966:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves that the piece of land, vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said city in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for historic purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”

Declaration that Part of the Tamaterau Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over the said Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Tamaterau Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.
