Road Closed by Order of the Maori Land Court

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 425 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Court has made an order, dated 17 September 1965, firstly declaring that area of road described in the first column of the Schedule to be closed and secondly, vesting the same in the owners of the land set out in the second column to the said Schedule.

Approval of Dual Headlight Systems and Revocation of Systems Previously Approved

PURSUANT to regulation 49 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the use of dual headlight systems as described in the First Schedule hereto as a compliance with regulation 35 (1) of the said regulations relating to the fitting of headlights.

The notices specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

DUAL headlight systems comprising four headlamps, in sets of two closely spaced headlamps, one set located on each side of the vehicle, the corresponding lamps of each set being equidistant from the centre line of the vehicle, at an equal height from the ground, and being of approximately equal candle power. When in use all four headlamps shall be illuminated to provide the main beams, and for dipped beams one lamp of each set shall be extinguished and the middle line of the beam of light from the other lamp shall descend at the rate of not less than 4 in. in 10 ft as provided for by regulation 36 (1) of the said regulations.

Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee Elections (Notice No. Ag. 8395)

PURSUANT to Clause 11 of the Schedule to the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1950 notice is hereby given that the roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of four producers' representatives to the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee will be open for inspection during ordinary office hours at the following places, viz, Department of Agriculture, Head Office, Wellington, Christchurch, Ashburton and at Rangiora.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period of seven days from 18 May 1966.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, Department of Agriculture, Christchurch. Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer not later than noon on the 18th day of June 1966.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Awanui Longshoremen's Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 2070, situated at Mess Room, Awanui Wharf, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
