Officer Authorised to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

Pursuant to section 9 of the Oaths and Declarations Act 1957,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
authorise the officer in the service of the Crown, being the
holder for the time being of the office of Superintendent of
Mercantile Marine, Marine Department, Auckland, to take
and receive statutory declarations under the said Act.

No Right Turn Sign

Pursuant to subclause (3) of regulation 120 of the Traffic
Regulations 1956* as added by regulation 16 of the Traffic
Regulations 1956, Amendment No. 10, the Minister of Transport
hereby prescribes, as provided in the Schedule hereto, the
dimensions, shape, colours, and wording of a traffic sign of
Class H as described by subclause (1) of the said regulations.

SCHEDULE

The sign shall consist of a black rectangle surrounded by a
red border of translucent material and bearing the words
“No Right Turn” in letters of white translucent material, and
the sign shall be illuminated at all times by means of internal
lighting.

The dimensions on the sign and of the letters thereon are
approximate only.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964*, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the
provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations
so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall
not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof
the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1964* to the person described in column 1
of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a
heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for
the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule,
but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of
18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives notice that the roads specified in the Schedule
hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes
of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
