Revoking a Proclamation Declaring an Area of Land in the Southland Acclimatisation District as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation issued on the 20th day of October 1959, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, on the 5th day of November 1959, at page 1590, declaring an area in the Southland Acclimatisation District as a Wildlife Refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953, insofar as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
LAND ADMINISTERED BY THE INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
ALL that area containing 5,355 acres, more or less, commencing at a point (National Grid reference, Square S 21, 273, 992) on the right bank on the Oreti River in line with the northern boundary of Section 6; Block XXIII, New River Hundred, and proceeding southerly along the said right bank to Dunns Main Highway; thence westerly along the northern side of the said highway to a point in line with the western side of Daffodil Bay Road (not a legal road); thence southerly to and along the western side of Daffodil Bay Road to the north-western corner of Section 2, Block XXIII aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of the said Section 2, the north-western, south-western, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XXIII aforesaid, to the south-western side of the said Daffodil Bay Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of the said Daffodil Bay Road to Daffodil Bay; thence easterly to and along part of the northern boundary of Section 5, Block XXIII aforesaid, and that boundary produced across Section 5, to its north-eastern boundary; thence south-easterly, southerly, and south-westerly along the north-eastern, eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 5 to its southernmost corner; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Section 5, to the sea coast; thence north-westerly generally along the sea coast to a point in line with the northern boundary of the said Section 6; thence easterly to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 6 and that boundary produced to the point of commencement.
As shown on the plan marked I.A. 52/272 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Land Taken for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes in Block XV, Waihou Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of May 1966.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 16 acres 2 roods 30 perches situated in Block XV, Waihou Survey District, being part Awaiiti 1J 2B 1B 2B 2C 2 Block; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19330 (S.O. 42689) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of March 1966.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of May 1966.
SCHEDULE
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 25Β·9 perches situated in Block XVI, Mata Survey District, Waipu County, Gisborne R.D., and being part Waipiro A2 6B Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 19714 (S.O. 5553) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of March 1966.
