RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Supplementary Loan

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £1,305 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for a pensioner housing supplementary loan, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven four pence (·074d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru; and that the said special rate shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Oamaru Borough Council held on Friday, 25 February 1966.

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £13,050 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for pensioner housing, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought eight one pence (·081d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru; and that the said special rate shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Oamaru Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for alterations and additions to the Oamaru abattoir, the said Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one seven pence (·17d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Oamaru; and that the said special rate shall be paid yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for meeting the Council’s share of the cost of reconstructing bridges, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·042d. upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage and Waterworks Improvement Loan 1954, £71,000, Issue of £4,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the sewerage system for the whole of the borough and improving and extending the waterworks, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven pence (·07d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Property Purchase and Library Loan 1965, £43,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £43,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and buildings and meeting the cost of establishing a library in the building within the City of Manukau the said Manukau City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three four pence (·034d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1965, £10,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:

“(a) That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for housing, the said Wanganui Rabbit Board hereby makes a special rate of ¾d. per acre upon the total rateable arceage of the Wanganui Rabbit District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“(b) It is further resolved that such special rate has been made to provide security for the loan and shall not be levied unless the Board defaults on any instalment due to the National Provident Fund Board.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution of the Wanganui Rabbit Board passed on the 23rd day of February 1966.
