Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the local authorities listed in the Schedule hereto in the interests of their district schemes, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of February 1966 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of February 1966.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Franklin County District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Franklin County Council in the interests of the Franklin County District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of August 1965 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of August 1965.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Eyre County District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Eyre County Council in the interests of the Eyre County District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of February 1966 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of February 1966.

Declaring an Area for Operation of Motor Launches and Water Skiers at Mataura River Gore

Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of one year from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply to the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that area of water 300 yards long and 100 yards wide, 3 miles downstream from Gore at Beattie's Beach on the Mataura River.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. At the river's edge on both sides of the river at each end of the above described area there shall be placed notice boards measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters.

  2. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE

Motor Launch Regulations 1962

No speed restriction for motor launches and water skiers between these notice boards.”

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Onewhero Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 2 October 1931, and published in the Gazette, No. 73, Volume III, page 2922, on 8 October 1931, and registered as No. K. 20263.

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 6 July 1962, and published in Gazette, No. 45, Volume II, page 1130, on 12 July 1962, and registered as No. S. 239882.
