BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board Renewal Loan 1965, £78,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board held on 14 December 1965, the following resolution was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £78,000 (seventy-eight thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming portion of the loan known as the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board Reticulation Extension Loan 1954, £330,000, the said Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal two eight three seven pence (·2837d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000) to be known as the Purchase of Properties Loan 1965, £500,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing various properties and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixteen twenty-ninths of one penny (¹⁶⁄₂₉th of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Administration Building Additional Loan No. 3, 1965

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and Amendment, the regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-eight thousand pounds (£88,000) to be known as the Administration Building Additional Loan No. 3, 1965, £88,000 which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of erecting an administration building, carrying out incidental works thereto, providing fittings, floor coverings and furnishings, and developing an adjacent site area for a Civic Square, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one tenth of one penny (¹⁄₁₀ of 1d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and to each and every power it thereunto enabling, the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Dargaville hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £4,500 described as Housing Loan 1965 and authorised to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a house for council staff, the said body corporate hereby makes a special rate of decimal one four of a penny (·14d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Dargaville, on the basis of the unimproved value; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Ngongotaha Water Supply Loan 1965, £69,500

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £69,500 authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the water supply of Ngongotaha County Town, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 2½d. (two pence farthing) in the £ (pound) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Ngongotaha County Town district special rating area, comprising the whole of the Ngongotaha riding of the County of Rotorua; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 (twenty-five) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rotorua County Council held on the 14th day of December 1965.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street and Footpath Improvements Loan 1965 of £60,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the amendments thereof, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on a special loan to be known as the Street and Footpath Improvements Loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·164 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui the boundaries whereof are defined in the Gazettes of the 28th day of November 1963, No. 76, at page 1919, of the 21st day of November 1963, No. 75, at page 1864, of the 30th day of January 1964, No. 4, at page 85, and of the 2nd day of April 1964, No. 19, page 561; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the date of the raising of the said loan, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wanganui City Council held on 13 December 1965.
