Notice of Determinations Under the Pharmacy Act 1939


PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 2 and subsection (2) of section 32 of the Pharmacy Act 1939, the Director-General of Health, pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Health under section 9 of the Health Act 1956, hereby gives notice that the Minister of Health has made the following determinations:

  1. Sodium cyclamate is not a drug within the meaning of the Pharmacy Act 1939.

  2. Saccharin is included in the class of goods mentioned in Part II of the First Schedule to the Pharmacy Act 1939 as foodstuffs and beverages and ingredients in foodstuffs or beverages.

Notice Under Section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953


PURSUANT to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys, derived from all the Maori Land Court Districts and held by him, has been filed at the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wanganui, Palmerston North, and Christchurch, and at all the suboffices of the Department of Maori Affairs, where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of a fee.

Election of a Growers’ Representative to Tobacco Board


PURSUANT to the Tobacco Growing Industry Act 1935, the Tobacco Growing Industry Amendment Act 1951, and the Tobacco Board Election Regulations 1952,* regulation 24, I hereby give public notice that the number of votes received by each candidate for the office of a growers’ representative on the Tobacco Board is as follows:

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the British standards, revisions, and amendments listed in the Schedule hereto are being considered for adoption as New Zealand standard specifications.
