FIRST SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all the waters of Lake Te Anau at Bluegum Point within 200 yards of the shore bounded by lines whose shore ends are 100 yards apart, the eastern boundary commencing 1 chain westward of the western side of the boat harbour entrance and extending in a 194° 20′ true direction and the north-western boundary extending in a 252° 30′ true direction.

Secondly, all the waters of Lake Te Anau at Brod’s Bay within 200 yards of the shore bounded by parallel lines 150 yards apart extending in a 46° true direction, the eastern boundary commencing where the western bank of Ernie’s Creek touches the shore.

Thirdly, all the waters of Lake Te Anau at Dock Bay within 200 yards of the shore bounded by parallel lines 150 yards apart extending in a 165° true direction, the eastern boundary commencing 75 yards from where Ernie’s Creek touches the shore.

SECOND SCHEDULE

EACH of the boundaries outlined in the First Schedule shall be marked as follows:

(a) Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted orange with a vertical black stripe shall be moored at a distance of 50 yards from the edge of the water:

(b) At the edge of the lake at normal lake level there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters, which shall contain the following notice:

“NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1962
Access lane extends 200 yards into lake through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
BATHERS KEEP OUT”

Reserve Bank of New Zealand

PURSUANT to section 33 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964, the Reserve Bank, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that as at the close of business on Friday, 29 January 1965, and until further notice, balances to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each trading bank shall be equal to an amount which, when added to that bank’s holdings of Reserve Bank notes as disclosed in that bank’s latest available weekly return of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, will be not less than the aggregate of: 29 per cent of that bank’s demand liabilities in New Zealand plus 3 per cent of that bank’s time liabilities in New Zealand (excluding wool retention deposits) as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 46 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.

The balances to be maintained as aforesaid shall be exclusive of any balance held by a trading bank in its wool retention or special fund account at the Reserve Bank.
