International Air Services Licensing Act 1947—Application for Licences

I, John Kenneth McAlpine, Minister of Civil Aviation, hereby give notice, pursuant to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, that applications have been received from foreign international airlines designated under intergovernmental agreements for licences allowing for changes in flying equipment and route patterns consequent upon the operation of pure jet services to, from, and beyond New Zealand.

The airlines are:

British Overseas Airways Corporation—Operating between the United Kingdom and New Zealand via Europe, Asia, and Australia, and between New Zealand and Fiji.

Canadian Pacific Airlines—Operating between Vancouver and Auckland via Honolulu and Fiji, and beyond to Sydney but without local traffic rights between Auckland and Sydney.

Pan American World Airways—Operating between points in the United States of America via intermediate points in the Pacific and New Zealand and beyond to Australia.

Qantas Empire Airlines Ltd.—Operating between Australia and New Zealand.

I am prepared, within 21 clear days from the date of this notice, to receive written representations forwarded to me through the Secretary for Civil Aviation, Private Bag, Wellington.

Cancellation of Vesting in the Kiwitea County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Kiwitea over the land described in the First and Second Schedules hereto and revokes the reservation as a site for a public pound over the land described in the First Schedule hereto and revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Reservation of Land and Declaration that Land be Part of the Mount Maunganui Domain

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act to form part of the Mount Maunganui Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.
