The change has been deposited in the office of the Waiuku Borough Council, Queen Street, Waiuku, and at the Public Library, Victoria Avenue, Waiuku, and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the proposed change or any part thereof shall be in writing in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 15 November 1965. (A suitable form for use of objections is available from the Council offices.)

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection. Any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

ELLERSLIE BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Changes Nos. 2 and 3—Ellerslie District Scheme Approved PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that changes Nos. 2 and 3 of the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of Ellerslie were approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 15th day of September 1965 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1965.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when the office is open to the public.

BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Amendments No. 2 to the Featherston Borough Approved District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 16th day of September 1965, Amendment No. 2 to the Featherston Borough Approved District Scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

The amendment alters the maximum permissible area of accessory buildings in a residential zone from 500 to 600 sq. ft. Relevant clauses are in Ordinance V, Clause 1 (6) and Clause 2 (2) (b). The amendments have been deposited in the Council offices and are there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the amendments shall be in writing on form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 10 November 1965. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to oppose or support any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Inviting Proposals for the Mackenzie County District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Mackenzie County Council, at its meeting on 7 May 1965, has resolved to prepare for the Mackenzie County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. Application has been made to the Minister to prepare the district scheme in two sections to be known as the Tekapo Section, being the Tekapo Village and adjacent rural land, and the County Section, being all those parts of the county not included in the Tekapo Section.

Every person concerned and every local authority in the district as defined by section 2 of the Act is hereby invited to submit full information as to the proposals (including public works) which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of both sections of the scheme.

Proposals marked “Mackenzie County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s office, Fairlie, on or before the 2nd day of March 1966.

SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SOIL CONSERVATION AND RIVER CONTROL PURPOSES IN THE TOWN OF WALLACETOWN AND HUNDREDS OF INVERCARGILL AND NEW RIVER

NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland Catchment Board proposes to carry out certain river control works on the Makarewa River, including the straightening of portions thereof, and that, in pursuance of the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, the said Board proposes to take the several pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for such purposes.

And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the office of the said Board, Spey Street, Invercargill, and are there open for inspection, without fee; and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such lands should, if they have any objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the said Board’s office at the above address (postal address: P.O. Box 408, Invercargill).
