(N.B. Where goods are not of Commonwealth origin, information as to availability from Commonwealth sources should be supplied);
(e) Availability (in terms of quantity, range, supply, etc.) of suitably equivalent goods of New Zealand production or manufacture.

Failure to supply information under all or any of the foregoing headings may prejudice consideration of the submissions. Decisions in respect of goods approved by the Minister of Customs under item 448 of the former Tariff, as set out in Schedule II hereto, are revoked with effect from 14 October 1965. (The rates of duty for these goods under Part I of the Tariff now in force are the same or lower than the rates under item 448 of the former Tariff.)

Gas Lighters—
Cups, brass, Edison-screw, for the manufacture of electro-catalytic gas lighters

Gas meters—
Parts specially suited for the manufacture of gas meters having a maximum capacity not exceeding 450 cu. ft. per hour for incorporating in outside cases manufactured in New Zealand

Gears—
Discs and rings of forged steel, in the rough, for making gears
Gelling and stabilising agents as may be approved, for liquids, foodstuffs, and ice cream—

Recording and erasing heads declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making tape recorder “decks” Record playing and changing units, combined or separate, including parts peculiar thereto, on declaration by a manufacturer for use by him only in making gramophones, radiogramophones, or television-gramophones Tape recorder “decks” declared by a manufacturer for use by him solely in making tape recorders and combined tape recorder - radio sets Turntables, electric, consisting of synchronous electric motors in mechanical combination with turntables, declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making gramophones
Greases—
Fatty acids declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making greases
Hardware and hollowware—
Stampings of stainless steel, in the rough and not built up, for making lotion and theatre bowls, douche cans, sputum mugs, urinals, bed pans, graduated measures, and similar hospital hollowware not including sinks, wash basins of built-in types, or kitchen utensils
Hearing aid appliances—
The following articles and materials declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making or repairing hearing aid appliances:
Cable, electrical Chokes Condensers Covers, plug Ear pieces or receivers, headphone types Gaskets Listening coils Plugs or terminals (positive and negative) Potentiometers Resistors Screws Sleeving, varnished, insulating Studs Switch levers Transistors Transistor holders Transformers Valves, amplifying Washers

Hexamine (hexamethylene-tetramine), declared for sale only to, and for use only by tallow producers
Hexylene glycol
Horolith M
Hoses—
Cotton cordage on declaration by a manufacturer for use by him only in making rubber hose Fittings, metal, declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making high-pressure hydraulic oil hoses
Hydro extractors—
Parts, as may be approved, on declaration by a manufacturer for use by him only in making hydro extractors Ignition control and anti-knock preparations declared by a holder of a Wholesale Distributor’s Licence under the Motor Spirits Duty Act 1961 that they will be used by him only for adding to motor spirit before the time of sale of such spirit by that wholesaler
Insecticides—
Metaldehyde in powder form in packages of 100 lb net weight or over, declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making insecticides Organic solvents and bases, as may be approved, on declaration by a manufacturer for use by him only in the manufacture of insecticides and fungicides— Approved— Butoxy polypropylene glycol Espesol 3A Esso heavy aromatic naphtha Sodium naphtha sulphonates for use in making insecticide oils— Examples: Agral 2 and 3 Beta salt (irrespective of the use to which it will be put) Twitchell base No. 262 The following substances declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making fly and insect powders and sprays: Bucarpolate Delnav Diazinon technical Di-n-butyl succinate Glue, animal, Davis C.W.S. powdered Korlan (also known as Nankor) Malathion Methoxychlor M.G.K. Intermediate 19 M.G.K. 264 Nexa fluid Piperonyl butoxide Pybuthrin Sevin Wetting agents for insecticides— Examples: Daxad 27 Fluxit Glutrin liquin liquor Lunevale wetting agent N.S.A.E. (Micronizer Processing Co.) Ortho dry spreader Iodocasein/Calcium acetate when declared by a manufacturer for use by him only in making invalids’ foods which if imported would be classed under Tariff Item 43 Iron ammonium citrate, declared by a manufacturer for use by him only as an ingredient in making “Glaxo”
Irons, kerosene—
Metal stampings in the rough and unbuilt, for use in making kerosene irons
Iso-phthalic acid
Iso-propyl alcohol declared by a manufacturer for use only for approved industrial purposes— Approved— Disinfectant making Lacquer or commercial grade, for making cellulose lacquers and industrial solvents Petropol for making brake fluid for vehicles or aircraft Pharmaceutical preparations Printing inks Rubber Making Wood preservative making Iso-propyl benzoate Iso-propyl myristate Iso propyl palmitate

SCHEDULE II

Gherkins in brine, in containers of 10 gallons capacity or over
Glass making—
Colours in liquid or paste form declared by a manufacturer for use by him only for firing on to glassware
