PURSUANT to section 265 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Secretary for Marine hereby revokes the appointment* of Arthur Daniel Jamieson as harbourmaster in respect of the waters facing Maraetai County Town, Auckland.

Commissioner of Supreme Court Appointed

PURSUANT to section 47 of the Judicature Act 1908, the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, has this day appointed George Edgar Poole, Esquire, Suite 1A, Seventh Floor, 109 Pitt Street, Sydney, New South Wales, a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, to be a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in New South Wales for the purpose of administering and taking of oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.

Consent to Erection of Flashing Red Traffic Control Lights

PURSUANT to subclause (5) of regulation 18 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights by the Porirua Fire Board at the place described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of subclause (4) of the said regulation 18.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 16 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1964* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Sawyers Bay and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
