Deputy of the Governor-General
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to constitute and appoint
Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, K.C.M.G., C.B., D.S.O. AND BAR, M.C., E.D., Chief Justice of New Zealand,
to be the Deputy of the Governor-General commencing at 7.50 a.m. on the 9th day of September 1965, and during the period of the temporary absence of the Governor-General from the seat of Government.
Dated at Wellington this 9th day of September 1965.
