Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Matamata County Council on the 10th day of June 1965:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the said County, in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, a public reserve for recreation within the meaning of the said Act.”

This notice is issued in substitution for the notice dated 13 July 1965 and published in Gazette, 15 July 1965, No. 39, page 1139, and that notice is hereby revoked.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and how Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Taranaki County Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.
