PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

Percival Croft,
Peter McCallum Dalzell,
Irwin George James,
Charles Dawson Lewis,
Ralph Connor Loney,
Harry Arnold Pateman,
Charlwood Ivan Peter,
Alan Henry Rowe, and
James David Wilson

to be the Sefton Domain Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act as a public domain.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—SEFTON DOMAIN—KOWAI COUNTY

RESERVE 4049 situated in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District: Area, 14 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less (Red map 55).

Amending Appointment of Members of the Waitaki Catchment Commission

PURSUANT to subsection 5 (b) of section 13 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council hereby amends a Warrant, dated the 10th day of August 1961 and published in Gazette, 17 August 1961, No. 52, page 1268, appointing members of the Waitaki Catchment Commission by deleting the words “The District Soil Conservator, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin” appearing therein and substituting the words “The Fields’ Superintendent, Department of Agriculture, Dunedin”.

Roads Excluded from Speed Limitation, Closely Populated Locality, and Limited Speed Zones Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. The Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the 8th day of March 1963†, which relates to Matamata Borough and Matamata County adjacent to Matamata Borough is hereby revoked.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SITUATED within Matamata Borough:

No. 27 State Highway (Mangatarata-Tirau) (from the northern boundary of Matamata Borough to a point 3 chains measured northerly generally along the said highway from Broadway).

Burwood Road (from the south-western boundary of Matamata Borough to Tamihana Street).

Peria Road (from the north-western boundary of Matamata Borough to a point 15 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Gladstone Road).

Tower Road (from the north-eastern boundary of Matamata Borough to a point 6 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Rawhiti Avenue).

Waharoa East Road (from Broadway to the northern boundary of Matamata Borough).

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The portions of road specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

At Macandrew Bay—

At Portobello—

Dunedin - Harrington Point Road (from a point 6 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from the northern end of Beaconsfield Road to a point 24 chains measured easterly generally along the Dunedin - Harrington Point Road from Athol Place).
