PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above-mentioned draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C.1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 27 October 1965.

The Standards Act 1941-Specification Declared to be a Standard Specification

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 29 June 1965, declared the under-mentioned specification to be a standard specification:
Number and Title of Specification: NZSS 720:1965 Thermal storage electric water heaters with copper cylinders (Revision of NZSS 720:1957).
Price of Copy (Post Free): 3s. 6d.

PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 29 April 1965, amended the under-mentioned standard specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:
Number and Title of Specification: NZSS 681:1962 Grades and definitions of joints and cuts of meat for sale on the New Zealand market.
Amendment: No. 1.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Mangaorapa Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 8 March 1938 and published in the Gazette, No. 16, Volume I, page 442, on 10 March 1938.

National Roads Board-Notice Prohibiting the Parking of Vehicles on Portion of No. 48 State Highway and Declaring Portion of the Highway to be One-way Road

It is hereby notified that:

  1. Pursuant to National Roads Board Bylaw 1961 No. 1,* the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting on 23 June 1965, declared the loop road section of No. 48 State Highway (Chateau) between approximate route milages 7·9 and 8·5, as delineated on plan M.O.W. 11103, to be a one-way road, and has directed that the necessary signs be erected.
  2. Pursuant to National Roads Board Bylaw 1958 No. 1†, the Board has, by resolution carried at its meeting of 23 June 1965, prohibited the stopping or parking of vehicles on the up route of the loop road section of No. 48 State Highway (Chateau) (route milage 7·9 to 8·5 approximately) and has prohibited the parking of vehicles on the right-hand side of the down route on the aforesaid section.
