Declaring That the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board May Purchase Apples Not up to Grading Standard (Notice No. Ag. 8164)

Pursuant to section 33A of the Apple and Pear Marketing Act 1948, the Minister of Agriculture hereby declares that apples of the Cleopatra variety which are fit for human consumption but which do not conform with any standard of grading prescribed in regulations under the said Act may be purchased, as from the date of this notice, by the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board.

Cancellation of Special Arrangements for Medical and Pharmaceutical Services for Residents of Blackball Special Area

Notice is hereby given that the special arrangements made by the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 117 of the Social Security Act 1964, by which all persons usually resident in the district described in the Schedule to the notice by the Minister, dated the 12th day of November 1947, are entitled to receive without charge all such medical and pharmaceutical benefits as are provided by Part II of the Act and the regulations thereunder are cancelled as from the 7th day of June 1965.

The effect of the cancellation of those special arrangements is that the general provisions made in Part II of the Social Security Act 1964 will apply in respect of persons for the time being resident in the Blackball special area on and after 8 June 1965.
