NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Sluggish River Drainage Board
proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, a drain
constituting an extension of No. 6 drain, and for the purposes
of such work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are
required to be taken.
And notice is further given that a plan of the land to be
so taken is deposited in the office of the said Sluggish River
Drainage Board, 129 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North,
and is open for inspection without fee, by all persons during
ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the said work or by the taking of
the said lands who object thereto must state their objections
in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the secretary at the board's office.

MARLBOROUGH ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the
Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the
Marlborough Electric Power Board, being a board duly
constituted under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards
Act 1925, proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the
erecture and maintenance of a substation; and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the said board situate in
Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection, without
fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such land who have any objection to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said
land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of
compensation, must state their objections in writing and send
the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication

Public Notification of Waipa County District Scheme, Sections
1 to 5
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of
the Waipa County Council made on the 22nd day of April
1963, a district scheme has been recommended for approval
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme
relates to the following sections: section 1, Horotiu; section
2, Hamilton; section 3, Ohaupo; section 4, Te Awamutu-
Kihikihi; and section 5, Pirongia.
The scheme has been deposited in the following places:
Waipa County Office, Bank Street, Te Awamutu;
Hamilton City Council Office, Hamilton;
Raglan County Office, Ngaruawahia;
Cambridge Borough Council Office, Cambridge;
Pirongia Public Library, Pirongia;
Kihikihi Post Office, Kihikihi; and
Ohaupo Post Office, Ohaupo;
in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there
open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein
at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in
writing in form E, prescribed in the First Schedule to the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall
be lodged at the office of the council at any time not later
than the 31st day of August 1965. At a later date every
objection will be open for public inspection, and any person
who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled
to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the
County Clerk in writing within the period of which public
notice will be given.

Combined Area District Scheme
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the
Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that, by a
decision dated 11 March 1965, the Town and Country Planning
Appeal Board consented to the application of D. J. and
D. E. Holmes for a departure, under section 35 of the Town
and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above-mentioned
district scheme for their property in Roto Street, New
Plymouth.
The substance and effect of the consent is to permit the
applicants to use the land for residential purposes notwith-
standing that the said land is zoned rural and shall remain so
zoned.
The full description of the land is shown in the said
application which may be inspected, without fee, at any time
during office hours at the Town Clerk's office, Liardet Street,
New Plymouth.
