Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Whangaehu Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject
to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
12 July 1960, and published in the Gazette, No. 44, Volume
II, page 986, on 21 July 1960.

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from
the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the

provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Waimakariri Rabbit District Divided Into Wards (Notice
No. Ag. 8165)
PURSUANT to section 14A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the
Waimakariri Rabbit Board hereby declares the Waimakariri
Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council
on the 21st day of September 1960,* to be divided into wards
having the names and boundaries specified in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE RANGIORA WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Rangiora
County and Rangiora Borough, bounded by a line com-
mencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the
mouth of the Ashley River and proceeding southerly along the
sea coast to the middle of the mouth of the Waimakariri
River; then north-westerly generally up the middle of the
Waimakariri and Kaiapoi Rivers to the production of a
line parallel to and 250 links east of the eastern side of Com-
mercial Street; then northerly along that production to the
left bank of the Kaiapoi River, being a point on the
boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi as described in
N.Z. Gazette, 1951, page 951; then northerly and north-
westerly generally along that boundary to a point on the left
bank of the Kaiapoi River in line with the middle line of
Revells Road; then southerly along the production of
that middle line to the middle of the Kaiapoi River; then
westerly up that river to a point in line with the middle
of the main drain and road reserve; then to and north-
westerly along the middle lines of the main drain and road
reserve, Main Drain Road, Boundary Road, and Oxford-
Rangiora Road (No. 72 S.H.) to a point in line with the
western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 3396; then southerly
along the production of that boundary to a point on the
production of the northern side of Boundary Road; then
westerly along that production and the northern side of
Boundary Road to and southerly along the eastern boundary
of R.S. 4286 and that boundary produced to a point on the
middle line of Ohoka Road; then westerly and north-
westerly generally along the middle lines of Ohoka Road,
Tram Road, and Eyre Road north and the production of
the last-mentioned middle line to the northern side of Oxford-
Rangiora Road (No. 72 S.H.); then easterly along the
northern side of that road to the eastern boundary of R.S.
4214; then northerly along that boundary to and along
a fence as delineated on Map 60 (red) in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Christchurch, to and across the Cust River,
to and along the middle line of the road forming the eastern
boundary of Reserve 713 to a point in line with the southern
boundary of R.S. 10312; then westerly to and along the
southern boundary and northerly along the eastern boundary
of that R.S. and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to a point on the middle line of Glews Road; then north-
westerly generally along the middle lines of that road, Ben-
netts Road, and the production of the last-mentioned middle
line to a point on the middle line of Dickinson Road;
then north-easterly generally along the middle lines of
that road, Carleton Road, and Bowicks Road to the right bank
of the Ashley River; then due north along a right line to the
middle of that river; then easterly generally along the
middle line of the said Ashley River to the point of
commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF THE EYRE WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Eyre County
and Kaiapoi Borough, bounded by a line commencing at
the confluence of the Kaiapoi and Waimakariri Rivers being
a point on the boundary of the Rangiora Ward of the
Waimakariri Rabbit District hereinbefore described, and pro-
ceeding north-westerly generally along the general south-
western boundary of that ward to a point on the middle
line of Eyre Road north in line with the southern boundary
of R.S. 4643; then westerly to and along that boundary
to the north-eastern corner of R.S. 23243; then south-
westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that R.S. over
Tram Road Extension, to and along the south-eastern
boundary of R.S. 19574, over Moderates Road to and along
the south-eastern boundary of R.S. 23164, over the road
forming the south-western boundary of that R.S. to and
along the south-eastern boundaries of Res. 4389 and R.S.
18588, over the Eyre River, to and along the south-eastern
boundaries of R.S’s 18704, 15362, 12432, and 12751, and
north-western boundary of R.S. 15260 and its production
to Harewood Road; then south-westerly over that road
to and along the north-western boundary of R.S. 34754,
over Eyre Road South, to and along the south-eastern
boundaries of R.S’s 30062, 32641, and 32211, over the road
forming the southern boundaries of R.S’s 33451, 32211,
and 34742, along the production of the south-eastern boundary
of R.S. 32211 to the middle line of Main Race Road; then
westerly along that road to Trig. Station 48, Block XIII,
Mairaki S.D.; then south-westerly by a right line to the
north-eastern corner of R.S. 32083; then south-westerly along
the south-eastern boundaries of that R.S. and R.S. 37707
and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the
middle of the Waimakariri River; then easterly along the
middle line of that river to the point of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF THE OXFORD WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Oxford County,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of
the Waimakariri River in line with the production of the
south-eastern boundary of R.S. 37707, Block IV, Hawkins
S.D., being a point on the boundary of the Waimakariri
Rabbit District as described in N.Z. Gazette, 1960, p. 1499,
and proceeding north-westerly and north-easterly generally
along the south-western and general north-western boundaries
of that district to a point in the middle of the Ashley River
due north of the intersection of the middle line of Bowicks
Road and the right bank of the Ashley River, Block II,
Mairaki S.D., being a point on the boundary of the Rangiora
Ward of the Waimakariri Rabbit District hereinbefore
described; then south-westerly generally along the general
north-western boundaries of that ward and the Eyre Ward
of the Waimakariri Rabbit District hereinbefore described to
the point of commencement.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Cancellation
of Registration of Industrial Union
PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and
Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registra-
tion of the Hawke’s Bay Retail Booksellers, Stationers, and
Newsagents’ Industrial Union of Employers, Registered No.
1688, situated at Emerson Street, Napier, is hereby cancelled
as from the date of the publication of this notice in the
Gazette.
