A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto and the leasehold interests described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Robert Warner Seddon Walker, of Pahiatua, Eileen Isabel Blake, of Waipawa, Timothy James Plummer, of Waipawa, and Valentine Brandon Tripe, of Ormondville, and Joan Tripe, his wife, under and by virtue of Crown leases Nos. 3013, L.S. 501, 2792, and 3031, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry, is hereby taken for the purposes of river control and soil conservation and shall vest in the Hawke’s Bay Catchment Board from and after the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 31st day of May 1965.
