  3. Haulage Charges, Lyttelton to Woolston, Heathcote, and for Local Delivery at Lyttelton

  4. Goods ex-ship of Classes C, D, G (including Classes C, D, and G, subject to a percentage or other reduction), E, E plus 25 per cent, E plus 50 per cent, N, and P railed direct from ship’s side to Heathcote or Woolston, will be charged £1 per ton, including cost of tarpaulins, and will be conveyed at owner’s risk.

  5. Goods ex-ship hauled direct from ship’s side to public or private sidings at Lyttelton will be charged under the provisions of section 96, General Scale of Charges.

  6. Goods ex-ship of Classes C, D, G (including Classes C, D, and G, subject to a percentage or other reduction) and glue pieces, railed to Christchurch for sorting and returned to Woolston, Heathcote, or Lyttelton, will be charged at £1 8s. 6d. per ton, including sorting, and will be conveyed at owner’s risk.

  7. Goods ex-ship of Classes E, E plus 25 per cent, E plus 50 per cent, N (n.o.s.), P, and Q railed to Christchurch for sorting and returned to Woolston, Heathcote, or Lyttelton, will be charged at £1 17s. 6d. per ton including sorting, all shed handling charges, and cost of tarpaulins, and will be conveyed at owner’s risk.

  8. Small lots of goods chargeable at the rates specified in paragraphs 1, 3, and 4, will be charged as follows:

  1. Timber, wool in bales, and skins in bales, ex-ship railed to Christchurch for sorting and returned to Woolston or Lyttelton, will be charged as follows, including sorting and all shed handling charges, and costs of tarpaulins:

Timber n.o.s. .. .. .. 9s. per 100 sup. ft.
Timber, hardwood (charged at K plus 50 per cent) .. .. 11s. 8d. per 100 sup. ft.

  1. The charges for ship’s goods, Classes C, D, and G will be computed in accordance with section 127, General Scale of Charges.

  2. Storage Charges at Christchurch on Goods ex-Ship

  3. Goods discharged ex-ship at Lyttelton and conveyed to Christchurch for delivery will be allowed free storage on the first day they are available for delivery and the following day. After the expiration of this period, storage will be charged at the following rates:

For the first four days, per day or part thereof .. 2s. 6d. per ton. Minimum charge 1s. per day.
Each succeeding day or part thereof .. .. 5s. per ton. Minimum charge 2s. per day.

  1. When goods are stored in the open, storage will be charged at the following rates:

For the first four days, per day or part thereof .. 1s. 3d. per ton. Minimum charge 1s. per day.
Each succeeding day or part thereof .. .. 2s. 6d. per ton. Minimum charge 2s. per day.
