Road Restrictions and Land Set Apart




Road Excluded from Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zones Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That the Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* dated the 3rd day of July 1958f, which relates to Ohaupo Town District is hereby revoked.

  2. The portions of road specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The portions of road specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Ohaupo Town District:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the northern boundary of Ohaupo Town District to Ngahinapouri Road; and from the southern boundary of Ohaupo Town District to a point 14 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway from Station Road).

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Ohaupo Town District:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from Ngahinapouri Road to a point 36 chains measured northerly generally along the said highway from Ngahinapouri Road; and from a point 14 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway from Station Road to a point 11 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway from Ranby Road).

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations as far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers regulations 1940* to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Edgecumbe

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes on and after the 17th day of May 1965.

Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the Crown land described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes. This declaration shall take effect from and after the 17th day of May 1965, subject as to Lot 6, D.P. S. 7418, to pipeline certificate S. 137491, as to Lot 1, D.P. S. 391, to pipeline certificate S. 159217, and as to Lot 1, D.P. S. 344, to pipeline certificate S. 155267, South Auckland Land Registry, and as to Lot 20, D.P. S. 316, subject to and together with the benefit of pipeline certificate S. 133815, South Auckland Land Registry.

No. 3c, Section 8 Block. Formerly all certificate of title, Volume 901, folio 287, South Auckland Land Registry.
