TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
District Scheme Changes Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given of the subject-matter of an application consented to by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board as stated hereunder:
Under section 35 of the above-mentioned Act:
Applicant: Blenheim Motors Ltd.
Terms of Consent: Specified departure, subject to the conditions set out below, permitting the applicants the use of all that land containing thirty-six decimal three six perchesthirty-six decimal three six perches (36·36p.), more or less, being Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 2523, situated at Main Road, Upper Hutt, for the purpose of operating a petrol service station notwithstanding that the land is zoned residential and shall remain so zoned the aforesaid conditions to apply as follows:
(a) That adequate screening will be provided between the applicant's land and the adjoining residential properties and to the approval of the Upper Hutt Borough Council.
(b) That traffic flow in and out of the petrol station will be so controlled as not to interfere with traffic along the main road.
(c) That a 6 ft close-boarded fence, painted on both sides, be erected on the boundary of the property to the south.
(d) That the proposed service station be erected not closer than 15 ft from such boundary and that the same will be built of concrete block, brick, or of other similar permanent materials.
Effective Date: 25 March 1965.
The consent of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board is contained in Appeal No. 139/64.
