Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940,* the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provisions shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940* to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaration That Part of the Waiho Gorge Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Change of the Purpose of the Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that those parts of the Waiho Gorge Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, pursuant to the said Act changes the purpose of the said reserve from a reserve for recreation purposes to a reserve for aerodrome purposes.
