HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land
described in the First Schedule hereto being taken for a
recreation ground and the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto being taken for road.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Land Being Taken For a Recreation Ground
ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods 3·1 perches situated
in Block VI, Te Tumu Survey District, being part Maketu
A 58A Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked M.O.W. 19041 (S.O. 42335) deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured sepia.

Land Being Taken for Road
ALL those pieces of land, situated in Block VI, Te Tumu
Survey District, described as follows:

tion and river control purposes.

acquired.

Restricting Grant of and Dealing With Mining Privileges Over
Certain Lands in the Nelson Land District

At the Government House at Wellington this 22nd day of
December 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Statutes Amendment Act
1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its publication in the Gazette. - The Order in Council restricting the grant and disposal
of mining privileges over certain lands in the Nelson Land
District dated 9 October 1940, and published in the Gazette
of 10 October 1940, at page 2600, is hereby revoked. - It is hereby declared that from and after the com-
mencement of this order no mining privilege affecting the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be granted
without the previous written consent of the Minister of Mines. - Subject to the provisions of section 34 of the Statutes
Amendment Act 1940, no mining privilege affecting the said
lands, whether granted before or after the commencement of
this order, shall be transferred, leased, mortgaged, pledged,
or otherwise disposed of or dealt with, whether by the holder
thereof or by the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy or by the
liquidator of any company or by a Sheriff under any process
of execution or by any executor or administrator, without the
previous written consent of the Minister of Mines; nor shall any
such mining privilege be liable to forfeiture for any cause what-
soever and no certificate of abandonment in respect of any
such mining privilege shall be given without the like consent.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land being Blocks I, II, and VI, Flora Survey
District, and Blocks XIII and XVII, Takaka Survey District.

PURSUANT to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby reappoints
Leonard Albert Hadley, Esquire, of Wellington
as a member of the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank
of New Zealand, to hold office during pleasure for a period
of three years from the 5th day of November 1964.
