Paradise duck (provided that these birds may not be hunted or killed in the area bounded as follows: Commencing at a point at the junction of Coal Creek with the Grey River; thence in an easterly direction for approximately 2 miles to Gentle Annie Bluff; thence in a northerly direction in a straight line for a distance of approximately 2 miles to Camp Railway crossing; thence in a westerly direction along the foot of the Paparoa Range to the junction of Coal Creek and the Grey River, the point of commencement.)

- Persons holding valid game shooting licences for the Westland Acclimatisation District may, without taking out a further game licence, shoot in that portion of the Southern Lakes Acclimatisation District included in the Westland Land District. The conditions prescribed in this notification in respect of the Southern Lakes Acclimatisation District shall apply in this area.

AREAS are excepted from the operation of the open season in each acclimatisation district as specified hereunder:
Ashburton Acclimatisation District
(1) Rangitata River Lagoon, Coldstream.
(2) Ashburton County Council Reserve No. 1439, corner Wheatstone Road and Grahams Road.
(3) All that land in the Canterbury Land District intersected by the Wakanui Creek, being Rural Sections 15104, 15510, 17411, and 16673, the property of Mr R. F. Leadly.
(4) The property of Messrs Ross Bros., Westerfield, being R.S. 28890, 28999, 29000, 29189, Blocks VI and X, Westerfield.
(5) The property of Mr Alex Langdon, Valetta, being Lot 2, D.P. 11497, R.S. 25005, 23979, 25298, 14618, Block II, Westerfield.
(6) The property of Mr A. Amos, Wakanui, being part R.S. 17152, Blocks II and VI, Wakanui.
(7) The property of Mr D. B. Mulligan, Mayfield, being R.S. 5699, 8877, 8878, 9236, 10538, 10539, 10988, 10989, 10994, 10995, 15956, 15957, 21338, 21339, and 21340, Block XIII, Westerfield.
Auckland Acclimatisation District
(1) Little Rotongaro Lake near Huntly.
(2) All that area from an imaginary line across the Waikato River between Weti Clark’s Point on the Port Waikato side and Hill’s Drain on the Otawa side to the Waikato Heads; and a strip of land 1 chain wide on both banks of such portion of the said river.
(3) Lot 1 of Sections 6, 22, and 78, Hunua Parish, containing 188 acres, the property of W. H. Mackey.
(4) Sections 4 and 18, Block XVI, Piako Survey District, containing 477 acres, the property of J. B. Woodyard.
(5) Section No. XV, Pirongia Parish, containing 526 acres, the property of E. R. Mackenzie.
