RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Pensioner Housing Loan 1964, £91,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Onehunga Borough Council resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £91,000 authorised to be raised by the Onehunga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed by the Onehunga Borough Council at a special meeting held on Monday, 15 February 1965.

SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Redemption Loan 1964, £24,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand pounds (£24,000) authorised to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Rural Reticulation Loan 1953, £140,000, which matures on 1 March 1965, the said South Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of fifteen thousandths of one penny (0·015d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the South Canterbury Electric Power District as defined in the Third Schedule to the Proclamation dated 23 August 1957, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, on 29 August 1957, at page 1575; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of eight years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of erecting houses for rental or sale, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of fifty-two hundredths of a penny (0·52d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1964, £50,000
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes a special rate of ⅓d. in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hauraki Plains County, comprising the whole of the County of Hauraki Plains; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 7th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, during a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council, held at the County Council Chambers, Ngatea, on Wednesday, 10 February 1965.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Boundary Bridge Loan 1964, £5,600
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Havelock North Borough Council held on the 16th day of February 1965, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,600 authorised to be raised by the Havelock North Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of meeting the council’s share for the construction of the Crosses Road Bridge, the said Havelock North Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·12 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Havelock North; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a Poll of the ratepayers of the County Town of Ranfurly, taken on the 13th day of February 1965, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said County Town be on the unimproved value:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 213
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 122.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments, notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for housing purposes at No. 27 Lawrence Street in the City of Wellington, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours and that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land should, if he has any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situated at the rear of No. 27 Lawrence Street, in the City of Wellington, containing two and seven-tenths perches (2·7 pchs.), more or less, being part of Section 850, Town of Wellington, being part of Lot 4, on Deposited Plan No. 7758, and being also the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 26009, and thereon coloured blue.
