Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 7 January 1965. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Bylaw Prohibiting the Towing of Caravans on State Highway No. 89

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962 and the National Roads Act 1953 and to all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling it, the National Roads Board has by resolution made the following bylaw.

BYLAW

  1. This bylaw may be cited as National Roads Board Bylaw 1964 No. 3.
  2. This bylaw shall come into force on the day of its publication in the Gazette.
  3. No person shall tow or cause or permit to be towed any caravan on that section of No. 89 State Highway between route mileages 0·0 to 16·0, that is from the junction with No. 6 State Highway to Cardrona.
  4. Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw is liable on summary conviction to a fine of £25.

The closing date for receipt of comment is 18 January 1965.

Fishing Industry Board—Levy on Fish

Pursuant to the Fishing Industry Board Act 1963 and the Fishing Industry Board Levy Regulations 1964,* notice is hereby given by the Fishing Industry Board that the levies on fish shall be as follows:

(a) In the case of the fisherman's levy, the sum of 1d. for every £1 of the total selling price of all fish sold by the fisherman (whether to a wholesaler or not):

(b) In the case of the wholesaler's levy, the sum of 1d. for every £1 of the total fisherman's price of all fish purchased by the wholesaler from a fisherman:

(c) In the case of the retailer's levy, the sum of ½d. for every £1 of the total wholesaler's selling price of all fish purchased by the retailer from a wholesaler, or from a fisherman where the fisherman acts as a wholesaler.

Expressions used in this notice have the same meanings as in the said regulations.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

Pursuant to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Wellington District Biscuit and Confectionery Manufacturing and Related Trades Employees Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1452, situated at 29 Marion Street, Wellington, will unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
