Roads Excluded From Speed Limitation and Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That so much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 20th day of December 1937,* as relates to Ohakune Borough is hereby revoked.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.


FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Ohakune Borough:

No. 49 State Highway (Raetihi-Waiouru) (from the south-western boundary of Ohakune Borough to a point 5 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from the Government Railway crossing; and from the south-eastern boundary of Ohakune Borough to a point 8 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from the Government Railway crossing).

No. 49A State Highway (Ohakune-Horopito) (from the north-western boundary of Ohakune Borough to a point 3 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Taweroa Street).

Ruapehu Street.

Shannon Street (from Tainui Street to Ruapehu Street).

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Wellington and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 16th day of November 1964.
