Defining the Middle Line of a Limited Access Road in Block II, Hamilton Survey District (Melville Link Road from Arterial Route to Hamilton Eastern By-pass Motorway)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a limited access road proposed to be constructed in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, viz, Melville link road from Hamilton Arterial Route to Hamilton Eastern By-pass Motorway, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the lands situated within the limits of the area shown coloured red on the plan marked M.O.W. 18686 referred to in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
COMMENCING at a point approximately 1·4 chains in a north-easterly direction generally from the north-eastern corner of Lot 368, D.P. S. 4961, Block II, Hamilton Survey District, and proceeding thence south-easterly generally for the distance of approximately 1 mile 27 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, namely Lot 304, D.P. 6348 (C.T. 528/16), part Allotments 54, 56, and 75, Te Rapa Parish (C.T. 774/5), Lot 14 (C.T. 1287/25), Lot 15 (C.T. 1234/7), Lot 16 (C.T. 1450/2), Lot 17 (C.T. 1c/545), Lot 18 (C.T. 1049/131), Lot 19 (C.T. 1413/65), D.P. S. 3743, part Lot 1, D.P. 35271 (C.T. 1285/4), Lot 1, D.P. 34164 (C.T. 889/118) and Lots 12, 13, 14, and 15, D.P. S. 7724 (C.T. 889/120), all situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, and terminating at a point on the southern side of Peacocks Road opposite the eastern boundary of Lot 12, D.P. S. 7724 aforesaid; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses, all in the South Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18686 (S.O. 42695) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 30 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a road desired to be constructed in Block VIII, Drury Survey District, viz, a portion of the Awanui-Bluff State Highway No. 1, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land situated within the limits shown coloured red on the plan marked M.O.W. 18928 referred to in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
COMMENCING at a point on State Highway No. 1, being described as the Point of Termination of the Middle Line of the portion of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway shown on P.W.D. plan 143667 (Proclamation 14260), and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 42 chains, and terminating at a point on the aforementioned State Highway No. 1 opposite the southern boundary of part Allotment 38 (CT 3D/411), including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, streets, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; as the same is delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 18928 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Exempting Certain Maori Land From Payment of Rates

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 4th day of November 1964

PURSUANT to section 104 of the Rating Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby exempts the Maori freehold land named in the Schedule hereto from payment of all rates made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act 1925, on and from 1 April 1964.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the common use or benefit of the Ngati Huia-rangi and Ngati Mahuta sub-tribes.
