  1. The rights, powers, and privileges conferred by or under this Order in Council shall be in force for 21 years from the day following the date of its notification in the Gazette unless in the meantime such rights, powers, and privileges shall be altered, modified, or revoked by competent authority.

  2. The said rights, powers, and privileges may be at any time resumed by the Governor-General, without payment of any compensation whatever, on giving to the council six calendar months’ notice in writing. Any such notice shall be sufficient if given by the Minister and delivered at or posted to the last known address of the council in New Zealand.

Authorising the Thames Borough Council to Reclaim Land at Thames Harbour

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of October 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Thames Borough Council to reclaim from the bed of the Kauaeranga River and Thames Harbour an area of 4 acres and 20 perches, more or less, as shown edged yellow on plan marked M.D. 11893 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Mangakino High School Board of Governors Order 1964

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.


O R D E R

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Mangakino High School Board of Governors Order 1964.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1965.

  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of Mangakino High School, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the South Auckland Education Board;
    (b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
    (c) Two members elected by the members of the school committees of the Atiamuri Public School, the Mangakino North Public School, the Marotiri Public School, the Mokai Maori School, the Tirohanga Public School, and the Whakamaru Public School;
    (d) One member appointed by the Waikato Hydro Welfare Association;
    (e) One member appointed by the Mangakino Pauakani Executive Committee; and
    (f) One member co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

  3. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (c) of clause 2 of this order applies.
