PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 5th day of December 1963.

Part of the land in Proclamations Nos. 458914 and 466401, Canterbury Land Registry.

Agreement to Grant Right to Draw Water from Easement Over Land in Block XIII, Waoku Survey District, Taken for the Purposes of a Public School, in Favour of Prince Abraham Rueben, of Waiotemarama, Assented To

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 3rd day of April 1962 and published in the Gazette, 12 April 1962, No. 23, page 583, an easement over land containing 4·5 perches situated in Block XIII, Waoku Survey District, North Auckland R.D., and being part Waimamaku B 2F 2B Block, was taken for the purposes of a public school;

And whereas such Proclamation vested in Her Majesty the Queen the right, liberty, and licence and authority in perpetuity to convey water along, under, or over the said land, and for that purpose to lay, construct, place, reconstruct, cleanse, repair, and maintain a line of water pipes along, under, or over the said land, and to construct, use, and maintain a pump house thereon, such easement being for the purpose of conveying water from the Waiotemarama Stream to Waiotemarama District High School;

And whereas at the date such Proclamation took effect Prince Abraham Reuben was entitled to compensation in respect of his interest in the said land;

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant, and the said Prince Abraham Reuben has agreed to accept, in satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, the right to draw water from a connection on the said line of pipes installed by the Crown at any time;

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Pukekohe Borough District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Pukekohe Borough Council in the interests of the Pukekohe Borough District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of August 1964, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of August 1964.

Vesting the Management of the Wharf at Jackson’s Bay, South Westland, in the Westland County Council, and Prescribing Dues for the Use of Same

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby vests in the Westland County Council (hereinafter called “the Council”, which term shall include its successors and assigns unless the context requires a different construction) the management of the wharf (hereinafter called “the said wharf”) at Jackson’s Bay, South Westland, as shown on plans marked M.D. 7678 and M.D. 7706 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such vesting to be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto; and the Minister hereby prescribes that the dues and rates set forth in the Second Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the Council for the use of the said wharf.
