Town and Country Planning Act 1953—Southland County District Scheme (Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals and Prohibitions)
Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made by the Southland County Council in the interests of the Southland County District Scheme, which refusal or prohibition but for this notice would expire between the date of public notification hereof and the 1st day of May 1965 inclusive, is hereby extended to the said 1st day of May 1965.

Licensing the Mangonui County Council to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Mangonui as a Site for a Wharf
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Mangonui County Council (hereinafter called the council, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Mangonui, in Mangonui Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 7449, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a wharf thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the council upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The annual sum payable by the council shall be one shilling payable on demand.
- The master of any vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, ordinary spring tides, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of September 1964.

Reorganisation of Local Government County of Manukau and Boroughs of Papatoetoe and Manurewa (Time and Place for Hearing Appeals)
Pursuant to section 36 of the Local Government Commission Act 1961, it is hereby notified that the Local Government Appeal Authority has fixed 2 p.m., on Wednesday, 25 November 1964, as the time, and the Chamber of Commerce Board Room, Commerce House, Courthouse Lane, Auckland, as the place for the hearing of the appeals lodged by the Manukau County Council, the Papatoetoe Borough Council, and the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board against the final scheme of the Local Government Commission, dated 21 August 1954, providing for the abolition of the districts of the County of Manukau and the Boroughs of Papatoetoe and Manurewa, and the constitution of those districts as a borough, thereafter to be proclaimed a city.
