Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 29 October 1964. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output, and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Classification of State Highway

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport, as required by the National Roads Board, hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 18th day of December 1961† as relates to the portion of the State highway described in the Schedule hereto and hereby declares that the portion of the said State highway shall belong to the class as set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

State Highway Classified in Class One

THE State highway described as follows, but exclusive of any portion of the State highway within a borough.

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from the south-western boundary of Hastings Borough to the eastern boundary of Woodville Borough).

Addition to Bylaws of Nelson Lakes National Park

PURSUANT to the National Parks Act 1952, a resolution was passed by the Nelson Lakes National Park Board resolving that a further bylaw be added to the bylaws already made for Nelson Lakes National Park as follows:

10A BOATS—

“In these bylaws, unless the context otherwise requires, ‘Motor launch’ includes an outboard motor-boat and a speed boat.

‘Proper speed’ means speed over the ground as distinct from speed through the water.

No person shall propel or navigate any jet powered boat on any river within the park.

No person shall propel or navigate on any part of Lake Rotoroa any motor launch used or built for racing or for any form of competitive racing nor propel or navigate a motor launch at a proper speed greater than 15 miles an hour.”

The foregoing bylaw of the Nelson Lakes National Park Board was approved by the National Parks Authority on 9 September 1964.
