the intersection of Old Renwick Road and Murphy's Road
in the District of Marlborough containing 1 acre and 22
perches, more or less, being Lots 5 and 6 shown on Deposited
Plan 401 and being part of Section 53, District of Omaka, and
being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume
31, folio 124 (Marlborough Registry).

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council
proposes, in pursuance of the Public Works Act 1928, to take
the land in the Schedule hereto for roading purposes; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of
the Wallace County Council, Otatau, and is open for inspection,
without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have
any objections thereto must state their objections in writing
and send the same within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Clerk of the Wallace County Council
at the Council's offices, Otatau.

SCHEDULE
FIRSTLY, all that piece of land situated in the Town of
Hodgkinson containing 15 poles, more or less, being part
Section 13 of the said town and part of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Volume 71, folio 242, Southland Registry;
coloured orange on the plan referred to in this notice and
which plan is deposited in the offices of the Chief Surveyor
at Invercargill as No. 6531.
Secondly, all that piece of land situated in the Town of
Hodgkinson containing 24.8 poles, more or less, being part
Section 14 of the said town, being part of the land comprised
in certificate of title, Volume 71, folio 242, Southland Registry;
coloured orange on the plan referred to in this notice and
which plan is deposited in the offices of the Chief Surveyor
at Invercargill as No. 6531.
Thirdly, all that piece of land situated in the Town of
Hodgkinson containing 1 rood 27.8 poles, more or less,
being part Section 16 of the said town, being part of the land
comprised in certificate of title, Volume 71, folio 242, South-
land Registry; coloured orange on the plan referred to in
this notice and which plan is deposited in the offices of the
Chief Surveyor at Invercargill as No. 6531.
Fourthly, all that piece of land situated in the Town of
Hodgkinson containing 21.3 poles, more or less, being part
Section 17 of the said town, being part of the land com-
prised in certificate of title, Volume 71, folio 242, Southland
Registry; coloured orange on plan referred to in this notice
and which plan is deposited in the offices of the Chief
Surveyor at Invercargill as No. 6531.

OHAI RAILWAY BOARD BYLAW NO. 6
IN pursuance of the powers, provisions, and authorities con-
tained in the Local Railways Act 1914 and all amendments
thereof, and of all other enabling powers, provisions, and
authorities contained in any other Acts or otherwise vested
in it, the Ohai Railway Board doth hereby, by this special
order, make and ordain the following bylaw:

BYLAW

  1. This bylaw may be cited or referred to as the Ohai Rail-
    way Board Bylaw No. 6 and shall be read together with
    the bylaws passed by the Board on the 11th day of July 1924.
  2. The Ohai Railway Board's Bylaw No. 5, passed on the
    23rd day of February 1955, is hereby repealed excepting
    clause 2 thereof.
  3. The Board fixes the rates of freight set out in the
    Schedule hereto:

SCHEDULE
(1) Rates of freight for the carriage of goods on the Ohai
Railway Board's railway between any stations on the Board's
railway:

Consignments which under the New Zealand
Government Railways scale of charges are
carried as "Parcels" each £ s. d.

Bicycles or motor bicycles, each 1 0 0
Dogs, each 1 6

Consignments not exceeding in all 2½ cwt, per

Consignments over 5 cwt, per ton (with a
minimum of 2s. 6d.) 10 0

(2) Variation of charges in rates of freight other than for
brown coal: If there shall at any time after the making of
this bylaw be a general increase or decrease in the rates of
freight charged upon the New Zealand Government Railways
then the rates of freight hereinbefore prescribed shall be in-
creased or decreased by a percentage equivalent to the per-
centage of the increase or decrease in such rates charged upon
the New Zealand Government Railways. If any such increase
or decrease upon the New Zealand Government Railways rates
of freight shall be in respect of only specified goods then the
rates of freight charged by the Board shall for such specified
goods be increased or decreased by a like percentage to the
percentage increase or decrease charged upon the New
Zealand Railways.

(3) Rates of freight for brown coal: New Zealand brown
coal will be charged at the rates fixed or arranged by the
Board from time to time being not less than 2s. 6d. per ton
nor more than 5s. a ton.

(4) Weighing: When weights are supplied to any person
requiring them the charge will be 6d. per ton with a minimum
charge of 2s. 6d.

(5) General: (a) In computing rates and charges fractions
of less than ½d. in the result will be omitted: a ½d. or more
in the result will be taken as 1d.

(b) Weights of less than 1 cwt will be taken as follows for
the purpose of computing rates of freight at tonnage rates:
Over ¼ cwt as ¼ cwt.
Over ¼ cwt, but not over ½ cwt, as ½ cwt.
Over ½ cwt, but not over ¾ cwt, as ¾ cwt.
Over ¾ cwt, but not over 1 cwt, as 1 cwt.

The common seal of the Ohai Railway Board was affixed
to this bylaw on the 18th day of December 1963 in the
presence of:

The foregoing bylaw was made by special order passed at a
meeting of the Ohai Railway Board held on the 20th day of
November 1963 and confirmed at a meeting of the said
Board held on the 18th day of December 1963, at which last-
mentioned meeting, Wednesday, the 1st day of April 1964; was
fixed as the day on which the said bylaw should come into
force.
