Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, (Waiapu-Matakaoa Development Scheme)

Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 30 June 1933, published in the Gazette, 13 July 1933, Volume II, page 1902, and registered as No. W. 1641.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

Pursuant to clause (2) of regulation 41 and regulation 63 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulations, red reflectors of the makes and types described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Tail lamp assemblies, model numbers 700 and 701, incorporating reflex red reflectors manufactured by P. M. G. Thorpe Ltd., England, and having the lens marked on the reverse side "P. M. G. THORPE LTD. MADE IN ENGLAND BS 2516 GDI BS 2515 GDI" around the edge, and with the letters "PMG" at the centre.

Classification of Roads in Franklin County

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 13th day of May 1954t as relates to the roads described in the Schedule hereto and hereby approves the Franklin County Council's proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Ballards Road.

Classification of Roads in Patangata County

Pursuant to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes the Warrant dated the 3rd day of August 1951t which relates to roads in Patangata County and hereby approves the Patangata County Council's proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto.

Special Order Made by Hokianga County Council Merging Kohukohu Town District in the County of Hokianga

Pursuant to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hokianga County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

  1. That, in order to give effect to a petition signed by a majority of ratepayers in the Dependent Town District of Kohukohu praying for their merger with the county, by authority and direction of the Local Government Commission, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under the provisions of section 27 of the Counties Act 1956, the Hokianga County Council resolves that the said Kohukohu Town District be abolished and merged with the county.
  2. That the merger of the town district take effect from the 6th day of February 1964.
