Declaring Subsoil of Land Taken for the Christchurch-Lyttelton
Road Tunnel in the Borough of Lyttelton
Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister
of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect
having been entered into, so much of the subsoil of the land described
in the First Schedule hereto as is described in the Second
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Christchurch-Lyttelton
Road Tunnel and shall vest in the Christchurch-Lyttelton Road
Tunnel Authority from and after the 14th day of September
1964.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Canterbury Land District
ALL those pieces of land situated in the Borough of Lyttelton,
Canterbury R.D., described as follows:

0 0 1·1 Closed street adjoining or passing through part Rural
Section 40 and Lot 1, D.P. 294 (being part Rural
Section 40); coloured burnt sienna, edged green on
plan M.O.W. 18391 (S.O. 10217).
0 0 0·2 Closed street adjoining or passing through part Rural
Section 40; coloured burnt sienna, edged green on
plan M.O.W. 18391 (S.O. 10217).
0 0 5·9 Closed street adjoining part Rural Section 266 and
Lot 7, D.P. 294 (being part Rural Section 266);
coloured burnt sienna, edged green on plan M.O.W.
18390 (S.O. 10216).
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked
and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Canterbury Land District
ALL those portions of the subsoil of the pieces of land described in
the First Schedule hereto as are situated beneath a plane 10 ft in
vertical height above the centre line of the roof of portions of the
Christchurch-Lyttelton Road Tunnel.
As the said portions of subsoil are more particularly delineated
on the plan marked M.O.W. 18392 (S.O. 10218) deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the Borough of Port
Chalmers for State Housing Purposes
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions
of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for State housing purposes;
and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office
at Sawyers Bay and is there open for inspection; and that
all persons affected by the said taking of the said land should,
if they have any objections to the taking of such land, set
forth in writing any objections they may wish to make
to the execution of such works or to the taking of the lands,
not being an objection to the amount of compensation, and
send written objection within 40 days from the first publication
of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
Otago Land District
ALL that piece of land containing 49 acres 1 rood situated
in Sawyers Bay Survey District, Borough of Port Chalmers,
Otago R.D., being part of Sections 2, 37, and 39, being Lots
18 to 25, 32 to 39, and part Lots 26, 31, and 40, and Mary
Street and part of Gretta Street, Block II, D.P. 659, and
Section 4 and parts Sections 6 and 8, commonly known as
part of Hellyer's Farm; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2241 deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and there-
on edged blue.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953
DUNEDIN CITY DISTRICT SCHEME
Notice of Extension of Period of Effectiveness of Refusals
and Prohibitions
Pursuant to subsection (6) of section 38 of the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the
period of effectiveness of each refusal or prohibition made
by the Dunedin City Council in the interests of the Dunedin
City District Scheme which refusal or prohibition but for
this notice would expire between the date of public notification
hereof and the 1st day of February 1965 inclusive, is
hereby extended to the said 1st day of February 1965.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Works at Wellington
this 12th day of August 1964.

Licensing the Westport Yacht Club to Use and Occupy a Part
of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark in the
Floating Basin, Westport Harbour, as a Site for a Boatshed
and Launching Ramp
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Westport Yacht Club (here-
inafter called the licensee, which term shall include its suc-
cessors or assigns, unless the context requires a different con-
struction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and
land below low-water mark in the Floating Basin, Westport
Harbour, as shown on plan M.D. 11855 deposited in the
office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the
purpose of erecting and maintaining a boatshed and launching
ramp thereon, as shown on the said plan, such licence
to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to
the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far
as applicable, apply hereto. - The premium payable by the licensee shall be three
pounds (£3) and the annual sum so payable one pound
(£1). - The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st
day of September 1964.

Licensing the Stewart Island Fish Packing and Storage Co.
Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land
Below Low-water Mark at Half Moon Bay, Stewart Island,
as a Site for a Fish Shed
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits the Stewart Island Fish Pack-
ing and Storage Co. Ltd. (hereinafter called the company,
which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the
context requires a different construction), to use and occupy
a part of the foreshore in Half Moon Bay, Stewart Island, as
shown on plan marked M.D. 4075 and deposited in the
office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the pur-
poses of maintaining a fish shed thereon, as shown on the
said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the com-
pany upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth
in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto. - The premium payable by the company shall be three
pounds (£3) and the annual sum so payable shall be ten
pounds (£10). - The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
of April 1964.

Licensing Harold Bakewell Saunders to Use and Occupy a
Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at Pare mata as
a Site for Boat Building Stagings
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
hereby licenses and permits Harold Bakewell Saunders (here-
inafter called the licensee, which term shall include his
administrator, executors, or assigns unless the context requires
a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore
and land below low water mark at Pare mata, as shown
on plan marked M.D. 11863 and deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of main-
taining boat building stagings thereon as shown on the said
plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon
and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto. - This licence covers only the existing boat building
stagings and no further construction shall be undertaken. - Existing contracts only are to be completed and on
completion of these the site is to be cleared and left in a
clean and tidy condition. - The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds
(£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10). - The term of this licence shall be two (2) years from the
1st day of September 1964.
