Transport Charges Amendments




The rates and charges set out in regulations 74 to 134 inclusive with the exceptions indicated
hereafter will be increased up to 7½ per centum.

Exceptions—

Paragraph 3 Omit this paragraph, and substitute:

  1. Handling, etc.—The Department may require all loading, unloading, or tallying to be performed
    by the owners. Where loading, unloading, or tallying is performed by the Department, the following
    charges per bale will be made:

Paragraph 1 (b) Omit this subparagraph, and substitute:

(b) Timber of the following species, and in the minimum quantities specified below, railed for
distances exceeding 80 miles, but not exceeding 110 miles, will be charged 9s. 6d. per 100 super feet.
Similar consignments railed over 110 miles will be charged at Class K rate less 1s. 6d. per 100 super feet.

  • N.Z. Douglas fir (N.Z. Oregon)
  • N.Z. Corsican pine
  • White Pine
  • Sap Rimu

Dressed

Charges on lesser quantities will be computed at the foregoing minima, or as provided in subparagraph (a) hereof, whichever is cheaper.
