NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on the 30th day of July 1964, the following special resolution was passed by the company, namely:

Notice of Meeting of Creditors

IN the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Portage Hotel Ltd. (in voluntary liquidation), notice is hereby given that the shareholders of the company have, on the 7th day of August 1964, by extraordinary resolution, resolved, (a) that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that therefore the company be wound up accordingly as a creditors' voluntary winding up, (b) that Mr J. F. McDougall be appointed liquidator.

Notice is further hereby given that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held pursuant to section 362 (8) of the said Act in the R.S.A. Meeting Room, Alfred Street, Blenheim, on Monday the 17th day of August 1964, at 10.30 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection. A creditor may attend and vote in person or by proxy.

Forms of general and special proxies have been mailed to all known creditors. All proxies shall be lodged at the office of Nicholls, North, and Nicholls, A.M.P. Buildings, P.O. Box 1116, Christchurch, not later than 4 p.m., on Friday the 14th day of August 1964.
