Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Waipawa Borough Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Waipawa, in trust, for that purpose.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Egmont County Council and Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Council-lors, and Inhabitants of the County of Egmont and revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Scheme of Control of Kawerau College

Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Kawerau College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:* Provided that:

(a) Clause 10 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:

"Provided that the first such election of members to the Board shall be held as soon as convenient after the 1st day of October 1964, but not later than the 1st day of December 1964."

(b) The said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause numbered 12A, set out in the Schedule hereto, were inserted after clause 12.

(c) Clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:

"Provided that every member appointed or elected for the first term of office of the Board shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the year 1968, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election."

SCHEDULE

Clause to be read as part of Standard Scheme:

"12A. (1) In every case where any member is to be elected by the members of the school committees of the public schools to which paragraph (d) of clause 2, of the Kawerau College Board of Governors Order 1964 applies, every such member shall be so elected by postal ballot in a manner approved by the Board.

"(2) The first such election shall be held on a date to be specified by the South Auckland Education Board, and such an election shall be held in the month of May in the year 1968 and every third year thereafter, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient, on a date to be fixed by the Kawerau College Board of Governors. For the purposes of every such election, the Secretary of the Board shall be the returning officer."

Social Security Amendment Act 1963—Revocation of Maternity Notice

Pursuant to section 27 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1963, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that pursuant to section 27 (4) of that Act, John David Frankish, M.B., Ch.B., M.R.C.P., M.R.A.C.P., D.C.H., R.C.P., R.C.S., of Christie Chambers, 71 Lowe Street, Gisborne, has withdrawn his notice that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity benefits on the terms provided for in section 27 of that Act.

The maternity notice relating to the said medical practitioner dated 16 December 1958* is hereby consequentially revoked.
