July 1964

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 37 of the Public Works Amendment
Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
(a) The land described in the Schedule hereto, being land
held primarily for the development of water power (Lake
Tekapo Power Scheme), is hereby authorised to be applied
also for recreation purposes which shall be secondary uses
of the said land.
(b) Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 shall
apply to the said land.
(c) The control and management of the said land is
hereby vested in the Tekapo Domain Board.
