Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 5th day of May 1964.

Licensing the Waikato Sand Co. Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Waikato River at Fairfield as a Site for Two Slipways
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits the Waikato Sand Co. Ltd., of Hamilton (hereinafter called the licensees, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Waikato River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11807 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon twin slipways as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensees upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- Pile beacons with notice Boards stating “Danger—submerged obstruction” are to be erected 10 ft north and 10 ft south of the slipway ends.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of July 1964.

Declaring an Area for the Operation of Motor Launches
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that, for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the area of water described in the First Schedule hereto shall not be subject to regulation 11 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area of water in Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, contained within a rectangle the southernmost boundary of which is a line running in a 047° direction for 792 yards from the red lighted beacon situated on the point of the submerged reef 385 yards, more or less, westward of Scott Memorial, Queenstown, and the westernmost boundary of which runs in a 317° direction for 75 yards from the aforesaid beacon.
SECOND SCHEDULE
- The area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be shown on a plan of the lake which shall be displayed on the lower portion of notice boards measuring not less than 4 ft by 3 ft painted white with black letters, which notice boards shall be erected on the northern and southern lakeshore at right angles to the 792 yard boundary lines.
- The upper portion of the aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:
“NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1962
There is no speed restriction for motor launches using the area depicted on the plan below.”

Producers’ Representatives on Raspberry Marketing Committee Election (Notice No. Ag. 8013)
Pursuant to clause 20 of the Schedule to the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1950, notice is hereby given that, only four persons having been duly nominated for election to the office of producers’ representatives on the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee, I do declare Phillip William Nichol Townshend, William Thomas Harvey, Leslie Harrow, and Charles Alexander Harrow being the persons so nominated, to be duly elected as producers’ representatives.

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification No. D. 7884 – Draft Amendment to B.S. 1231:1963 for PVC Insulated Cables for Power Switchgear Wiring, to meet New Zealand requirements
Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above-mentioned draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 14 August 1964.

Road Closed by Order of the Maori Land Court
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 425 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori Land Court has made orders dated 7 October 1960, firstly declaring those pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto to be a closed road and secondly vesting the ownership thereof in the owners of the respective lands in the said Schedule.
