Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways
Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval
of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies
the notice declaring highways to be State highways, dated 9
March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol.
I, No. 20, page 384, by deleting from Part II of the Schedule
to the said notice the paragraph described in the First
Schedule hereto and substituting therefor the paragraph set
out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from the North Island section of Part II
of the Schedule to the said notice:
Tokaanu-
No. 41 State Highway. From the Tokaanu Stream Bridge
via Humu, Matariki, Kopu, and Tawera Streets.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part II
of the Schedule to the said notice:
Tokaanu-
No. 41 State Highway. From the Tokaanu Stream Bridge
via Tawera Street.

Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways
Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the
National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of
the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it cancels
the notice varying notice of declaration of State highways,
dated 24 July 1962 and published in the Gazette, 2 August
1962, and varies the notice declaring public highways to be
State highways, dated 9 March 1960 and published in the
Gazette, 24 March 1960, Volume I, page 384, by deleting from
Part II of the said notice, dated 9 March 1960, the paragraph
described in the First Schedule hereto and substituting there-
for the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from the North Island section of Part II
of the Schedule to the said notices:
Auckland-
No. 1 State Highway.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part
II of the Schedule to the said notices:
Auckland-
No. 1 State Highway. From the approaches of the Victoria
Park Viaduct, thence proceeding in a southerly direction along
the viaduct, Union Street, Wellington Street, Pitt Street,
Karangahape Road, Symonds Street, and a portion of the
Khyber Pass Road to the Auckland City boundary; through
the Borough of Newmarket, along the other portion of Khyber
Pass Road and Broadway, re-entering the City of Auckland,
along the other portion of Broadway; thence through the
Borough of One Tree Hill by way of Great South Road, and
the Borough of Ellerslie, commencing at the junction of
Great South Road and Green Lane East, and proceeding
thence in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction generally
along Green Lane East to the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand
Pursuant to section 45 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933 (as amended by section 23 of the Reserve
Bank of New Zealand Amendment Act 1936), the Governor
of the Reserve Bank acting with the authority of the Minister
of Finance, hereby gives notice that, as from 19 June 1964,
the balance to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each
other bank for the time being carrying on business in New
Zealand in accordance with the said section 45 shall be such
that, when added to that bank's holding of Reserve Bank
notes, it shall be equal to not less than 29 per cent of its
demand liabilities in New Zealand, plus 3 per cent of its
time liabilities in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding
monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with
section 46 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.
Provided that the minimum balance to be maintained at
the Reserve Bank shall not be less than 7 per cent of its
demand liabilities in New Zealand, plus 3 per cent of its
time liabilities in New Zealand.
For the purpose of this calculation a bank's holding of
Reserve Bank Notes shall be as shown in the latest available
weekly return provided under the Statistics Act 1955.
