Classification of Roads in Eyre County

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrants dated the 5th day of December 1950† and the 9th day of May 1955‡ as relates to the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Eyre County Council’s proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Browns Road (from South Eyre Road to the Eyrewell Forest).
Dixons Road (from Giles Road to South Eyre Road).
Giles Road (from Tram Road to Dixons Road).

Tram Road (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to Giles Road).

Result of Election of Members to Dental Council of New Zealand

PURSUANT to the Dental Regulations 1964, I, William Hunter Barrett, the Returning Officer for the purposes of those regulations, hereby give the following notice with respect to the elections of persons to the Dental Council of New Zealand under paragraphs (d) and (e) of section 3 (2) of the Dental Act 1963.

1. There being only two persons nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the North Island, I hereby declare the persons nominated, namely, Maurice Edmond Priestley and Stanley Keith Phillipps, to be elected to the Council for a term of three years commencing on the 1st day of July 1964.

2. There being only one person nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the South Island, I hereby declare the person nominated, namely, Keith Lewis Anderson, to be elected to the Council for a term of three years commencing on the 1st day of July 1964.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Mahia Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 23 February 1937, published in the Gazette, 25 February 1937, Volume I, page 479, and registered as No. K. 3273.

Variation of Notice Declaring Land to be Subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waipuna Development Scheme)

WHEREAS by notice dated the 17th day of February 1956, published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of February 1956, at page 246, and registered as No. S. 102419, the lands described in the First Schedule hereto were declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

And whereas by an order of the Maori Land Court under section 435 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the descriptions of the said lands has been altered and they are now known by the description shown in the Second Schedule hereto and it is desirable to vary the said notice to show the new description of the land.

Now therefore pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and section 25 (h) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, the Board of Maori Affairs doth hereby vary the said notice by substituting for the descriptions of the lands in the First Schedule hereto, the description of the land set out in the Second Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the said land described in the Second Schedule hereto to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
