Tariff Notice No. 1964/5—Review of Former Tariff Concessions

DECISIONS in respect of goods approved by the Minister of Customs under item 352 of the former Tariff, as set out in Schedule I hereto, are to be reviewed.

Persons desiring, or objecting to, the admission of any of these goods under Part II of the Tariff now in force should lodge submissions in writing on or before 13 February 1964.

Submissions, headed “352 Review”, should be prepared separately for each of the decisions listed, and addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, supported by information as to:

(a) Details and specifications of the goods;

(b) Quantity and frequency of importation;

(c) The quality, range, supply, etc., of similar goods produced in New Zealand.

Decisions in respect of goods approved by the Minister of Customs under item 352 of the former Tariff, as set out in Schedule II hereto, are revoked with effect from 13 February 1964.

The rates of duty for these goods under Part I of the Tariff now in force are the same or lower than the rates under item 352 of the former Tariff.
