Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 28 May 1964. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:

(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Tariff Notice No. 1964/27—Review of Former Tariff Concessions
DECISIONS in respect of goods approved by the Minister of Customs under item 352 of the former Tariff, as set out in Schedule I hereto, are to be reviewed.
Persons desiring, or objecting to, the admission of any of these goods under Part II of the Tariff now in force should lodge submissions in writing on or before 28 May 1964.
Submissions, headed "352 Review", should be prepared separately for each of the decisions listed, and addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, supported by information as to:
(a) Details and specifications of the goods;
(b) Quantity and frequency of importation;
(c) The quality, range, supply, etc., of similar goods produced in New Zealand.
Decisions in respect of goods approved by the Minister of Customs under item 352 of the former Tariff, as set out in Schedule II hereto, are revoked with effect from 28 May 1964.
The rates of duty for these goods under Part I of the Tariff now in force are the same or lower than the rates under item 352 of the former Tariff.

Piece scouring and milling machines, combined or separate
Pins, tentering, for tentering machines
Presses, yarn bundling
Pressing machines, including cutting attachments, for pressing and folding cloth ...
Reed cleaning machines used to clean and polish the reeds in looms
Roller covering machines for covering spinning rollers with felt and leather
Sliver cans of fibre, reinforced with metal, for use in woollen mills
Steamers, vacuum, for conditioning yarn
Steaming machines
Straps, lug, U-shaped, being parts of and peculiar to looms, consisting of several narrow strips of leather fastened together and having reinforced bends
Tables, hosiery finishing, being metal tables with steam heated hosiery drying forms mounted thereon
Tables, inspection, used to examine piece goods for flaws after weaving
Tapes, condenser, leather
Transfer machines for applying transfers to hosiery including spare heating heads
Winding machines

Clutch, specially shaped for use in spinning mules .. Combing, being endless leathers for the drawing off rollers of combing machines
Condenser rubbing, identifiable as parts of condensers for woollen mills
Gill box being endless leathers for the rollers of gill boxes
Girthing, being strips of leather riveted to webbing and used as stabilisers on batt frames.. Heald
Twisting frame roller
Loom pickers, rawhide
Looms, elbows for, being shock absorbers of greenhide, peculiar to use with loom shuttles
